Unit 6
通常の文と分詞構文の２種類の英語で言いましょう。
1. 私が川に沿って歩いていたとき、(私は)たくさんのヒマワリを見ました。
2. 彼女が遠くから見られたら、(彼女は)若く見えます。
3. 私は何と言ってよいか分からなかったので、(私は)何も言いませんでした。
Unit 7

1. 太陽が沈んだあと、私達は野球をするのをやめました。
2. 彼女はラジオを聴いていました。目を閉じたままで。
3. 私は何もすることがなかったので、(私は)テレビを見ました。
4. (私が)彼の顔から判断すると、彼は病気のようです。
Unit 9
付帯状況を表す with を使った英文にしましょう。
1. 彼女は水を流したまま歯を磨きました。
2. 彼女は足を組んで座っていました。
Unit 10
分詞を使った英文にしましょう。
1. 彼らはデパートへ買い物に行きました。
2. 彼はテレビゲームをするのに忙しいです。
3. なかなか寝付けませんでした。
4. 昨日、宿題をするのに１時間かかりました。
5. 彼女は一日の大半を昼寝をして過ごしました。
6. 図書館で数人の生徒が勉強していました。
7. 締め切りまで３日しか残されていません。
解答例
1. When I walked along the river, I saw a lot of sunflowers.
→ Walking along the river, I saw a lot of sunflowers.
2. If she is seen from a distance, she looks young.
→ (Being) Seen from a distance, she looks young.
3. I did not say anything because I did not know what to say.
→ I did not say anything, not knowing what to say.
Unit 7
1. Because she had lost her wallet, she went to the police box.
→ Having lost her wallet, she went to the police box.
2. Because he was born and raised in Paris, he can speak French well.
→ (Having been) Born and raised in Paris, he can speak French well.
3. She called him again because she had not received his answer.
→ She called him again, not having received his answer.
Unit 8
1. After the sun had set, we stopped playing baseball.
→ The sun having set, we stopped playing baseball.
2. She was listening to the radio, and her eyes were closed.
→ She was listening to the radio, (with) her eyes closed.
3. Because there was nothing to do, I watched TV.
→ There being nothing to do, I watched TV.
4. If I judge from his face, he looks sick.
→ Judging from his face, he looks sick.
